Tom Reeder: Interbasin Transfers in North Carolina

Tom Reeder joined the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources in 1998.  After working in several positions in the Division of Air Quality and the Division of Water Quality, in 2008 he was named the Director of the NC Division of Water Resources.  Prior to his employment with the State of North Carolina, he served on active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps for 20 years and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.  He received a bachelor’s degree in physics from the Virginia Military Institute and a master’s degree in engineering and environmental management from the US Air Force Institute of Technology.
